Unable to upgrade package due to data.com conflict
Last updated 2015-09-03 ·Reference W-2315016 ·Reported By 1 users
There are certain packages that cant be upgraded in orgs with data.com enabled. If there is a custom field on the account or contact object the data.com feature reviews and throws an error during upgrade.
1. Login to the org with an old version of the package installed.
2. Install the upgrade version
3. Error email will appear with error ID: 715699385-126368 (-190601167)
*Note that the error ID can vary
Review data.com setting and see if there are some fields which are custom mapped, e.g., "Account Site" --> "Location [Custom]". Such mapping may cause the issue.
One workaround is to change that field mapping to "Skip Mapping" or "[Default] Account Site", then package can be upgraded. And then revert back to Custom Field Mapping again.
If above does not work, then another workaround is to contact your assigned Account Executive to disable data.com completely from the org. Although doing so may loose any customization on data.com in the org.
