"You've lost your connection to salesforce.com." when editing Flow element that references "__share" object
Last updated 2016-12-08 ·Reference W-2892961 ·Reported By 19 users
Users are experiencing an error when editing a Record Lookup element in their Flow that references a share object.
You've lost your connection to salesforce.com. If you have unsaved changes, don't close the flow or it's browser. If your Internet connection is okay, open another window in the same browser and login. Then return to the browser with the open flow, and save your changes. If the problem continues, contact salesforce.com Customer Support.
Attempting to run the Flow may result in the following errors:
- Internal Server Error
- common.exception.ApiQueryException: sObject type 'Obj1__Share' is not supported
This issue typically occurs when a user creates sharing records for objects that are part of a Managed Package. It may also impact references to history records.
1. Install a Managed Package that includes an object that has its default sharing set to Private.
2. Create a Flow and add a Record Create element.
- Object: "pkg__Obj__Share"
- Field: AccessLevel: All
4. Open the flow and try to edit Record Create element that has a share reference ("Objectname__share)
Actual behavior: "Lost Connection" error in Flow Designer. Errors on Run Flow. After clickin OK, you will notice that any reference in the element to the Share object will be nulled out and you have to re-enter the values.
Expected Behavior: Flow can be edited/run without issue.
None at this time. We are working to fix how the application recognizes share tables.
