Case feed section does not render in Visualpage page
Last updated 2022-02-10 ·Reference W-2051986 ·Reported By 1 users
The Spring 14 release does not render the case feed section on a VF page. The issue will occur if a case feed user (enabled though perm set or profile) have a profile that is assigned a "standard" Case Page Layout that is not feed based.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Case Layout does not have Feed-Based Layout checked.
2. The context user profile is using the profile the has Use Case feed check and the pagelayout of the case does not have Feed-Based Layout.
3. Create a VF page that leverages the <Support:case> tag.
4. Invoke the VF page with any case.
Case feed section does not display.
Potential work around:
Assign a "feed-based" Case Page Layout (top section of the page layout page) to the profile of the affected users.
Note that this is not recommended if the same profile can be used for both "Case Feed" and non "Case Feed" users since all users of that profile will now get the Case Feed.
