Summary
If a record is saved using the API, formatting of \n is being incorrectly converted to \r\n. This is, in effect, adding an additional line (carriage return) to the text.
Repro
- Turn on Field History Tracking for a Long Text field
- Create a record via the API using "\n" to format the value in that field
- Save the record
- Open the record in the UI and save without making a change
- History tracking will detect a change (the adding of "\r")
