Selecting an email template and then hitting the back button sends the same template again

Summary
Selecting an email template and then hitting the back button on the browser sends the same template again even though another template was selected the 2nd time. This issue occurs on firefox and chrome.

Repro
1. Login as System Admin of the salesforce org
2. Go to a contact record and put in your own email address
3. Go to the Activity history related list and click the Send Email button
4. Click on the Select Template button and select any email template.
6. Click the back button on the browser.
7. Manually Type in a new subject/message and click the send button
8. The email body that will be sent is the same as the one chosen on step 4

Workaround
Cancel the email draft if you hit the back button on the browser. Start over from the record and click on send email to select an email template.
