SUMMARY:
User is unable to use the Mass transfer functionality to replace OTMs due to a couple of issues explained below (section:Cause). An incorrect message (standard message) is displayed to the user.
- Actual Result
This operation could not be completed
The replacement team member cannot replace the existing team member on all selected opportunities / forecasts. This occurs when the replacement team member lacks sufficient access to the account associated with an opportunity / forecast for which the existing team member is assigned a split. For each such opportunity / forecast, ask the account owner to grant access to the replacement team member, or revise the selected opportunities / forecasts in Step 3.

Message corresponding to the actual error (in this case CannotRemoveSplitTeamMemberException)
Repro
For issue#1:
1. use any org with splits enabled
2. create around 250 opportunities
3. Create two new users say, 'Sofia Law' and 'Mike Smith'
4. Add some OTMs & splits to the above Opptys for this user
5. Go to 'Mass Reassign Opportunity Teams' from setup
6. Choose 'Replace an existing opportunity team member with a new team member, or change the role of an existing team member', click Next
7. Enter criteria "Opportunity Team Member: LastName" equals "Law". Click Next.
8. Select all 250 Opportunities, and click Next
9. Enter
* Existing Team Member ''
* new team member 'Mike Smith'
* team role "Sales Rep"
* Opportunity Access = Read/Write
* Do not check "Reassign all open activities owned by the existing team member to the replacement team member"
10. click Replace -- error will present
For issue#2:
1. use any org with splits enabled
2. create around 250 opportunities
3. Create a new user say, 'Sofia Law'
4. Add some OTMs & splits to the above Opptys for this user. ***Note: do not enter the team member role when inserting OTMs
5. Go to 'Mass Reassign Opportunity Teams' from setup
6. Choose 'Replace an existing opportunity team member with a new team member, or change the role of an existing team member', click Next
7. Enter criteria "Opportunity Team Member: LastName" equals "Law". Click Next.
8. Select a small number of Opportunities (containing the OTMS without team member role), and click Next
9. Enter
* Existing Team Member 'Sofia Law'
* new team member 'Mike Smith'
* team role "Sales Rep"
* Opportunity Access = Read/Write
* Do not check "Reassign all open activities owned by the existing team member to the replacement team member"
10. click Replace -- error will present
Workaround
Workaround for issue #1: To use less than 200 Opptys.
Workaround for issue #2: Make sure that all Opptys being replaced have team member roles assigned.
