Summary
Opportunity Stage History Related List may display incorrect edit date and editing user for tracked changes.
Any time you change the Amount, Probability, Stage, or Close Date for the opportunity, a new entry is added to the list with the name of the person that made the change and a date stamp.
The issue is that when there are consecutive entries recorded with the same Stage, Amount, Probability, and Close Date (essentially duplicate entries where the later entry does not indicate any changes) the related list currently shows the latest entry.
It should show the earliest record that made the stage change and not the latest record.
For example:
"User A" updates an Opportunity to "Closed Won" on 9/1/2013. Stage History captures the Stage, Amount, Close Date, and Probability.
"User B" updates the same Opportunity on 10/1, and makes an update which causes a row to be added to Stage History, but the values saved for Stage, Amount, Close Date, and Probability are the same -- essentially this history row does not reflect any change to the history fields.
Problem Behavior: Stage History Related List de-duplicates the display of these rows, and shows the newest row (showing Stage Change to "Closed" by "User B" on 10/1).
Expected Result: Stage History Related List de-duplicates the display of these rows, and shows the oldest row (showing Stage Change to "Closed" by "User A" on 9/1).
