The "Contact Name" field being selected in Case Search Results is not retrieved through Metadata API.
- Actual Result
Suppose two fields, "Case Number" and "Contact Name", are being selected in Case Search Results.
If you retrieve this Case using Metadata API, the obtained xml file has only the searchResultsAdditionalFeilds tag for "Case Number", and the tag for "Contact Name" is not seen.
- Expected Result.
The searchResultsAdditionalFields tag for "Contact Name" should be included in a obtained xml file.
1. Add "Contact Name" to Selected Fields in Case Search Results
Setup | Customize | Cases | Search Layouts | Edit Search Results Layout | Click "Contact Name" in Available Fields | Add
3. Retrieve Case object through Metadata API
4. Check the Case.object file, and you will see there is no searchResultsAdditionalFields tag for "Contact Name" in the searchLayouts tag.
