Salesforce for Outlook - Recurring events accepted from an invitee do not Sync

In Outlook 2013 and 2016, running Salesforce for Outlook (SFO) version 3.0.2, after accepting a recurring event from an invitee, the recurring series is not synchronized with the users Salesforce calendar.
Recurring events created locally are synchronized.
- Environment: Outlook 2013 or 2016 installed with SFO version 3.0.2, 'Sync All Outlook Items' selected during the Setup Wizard
- Outlook Configuration (Events):
Sync Direction - Sync Both Ways
Conflict Behavior: Outlook Always Wins
Recurring Events: Enabled
1) SFO user receives a recurring event from an invitee
2) SFO user Accepts event
3) SFO Synchronization occurs
Result: Recurring event is not synchronized to the user's Salesforce calendar
Expected Result: Recurring event is synchronized with the user's Salesforce calendar
