Unable to write Test class for QuickAction.QuickActionDefaultsHandler Class

Last updated 2016-12-08 ·Reference W-2679720 ·Reported By 18 users

Fixed - Summer '16

In Summer'15,salesforce provided "QuickActionDefaultsHandler" which lets you specify the default values for the standard Email Action on Case Feed. You can use this interface to specify the From address, CC address, BCC address, subject, and email body for the Email Action in Case Feed.Below is the link for same :-

The issue is there is no way we can write the test class to cover the Apex class which is created for this interface.

1.) Create an Apex class as per sample Apex class provided in below link in your org.

2.) Create below Apex class to cover the Apex class created in 1.

private class EmailPublisherLoader_Test{
// Method to create test cases gTechPartnersConstants Class
Static testMethod void TestEmailPublisherLoader() {

// Insert Account
Account account = new Account();
account.name = 'test account';
insert account;

// Insert Contact
Contact contact = new Contact();
contact.AccountId = account.id;
contact.Email = 'Test@test.com';
contact.LastName = 'TestLastName';
insert contact;

Case case1 = new Case();
case1.AccountId = account.id;
case1.Subject = 'test case';
case1.reason = 'test@test.com';
insert case1;

// Test Case for the Constant Statis Constant Variables
EmailPublisherLoader emailPublisher = new EmailPublisherLoader();

QuickAction.SendEmailQuickActionDefaults sdf ;
QuickAction.QuickActionDefaultsHandler qdf ;
QuickAction.QuickActionDefaults[] defaults = new QuickAction.QuickActionDefaults[]{};

for (QuickAction.QuickActionDefaults dfv :defaults) {
dfv = sdf ;
//dfv.actionName = 'case.email'; // Compile Error: Variable is not visible: actionName
//dfv.actionType = Email; // Compile Error: Variable is not visible: Email
//dfv.contextId= case.id; // Compile Error: Variable is not visible:contextId
// emailPublisher.onInitDefaults(defaults);
PageReference pageRef = new PageReference('/'+case1.id);
Test.setCurrentPage(pageRef );

3.) Open the Dev console and Run Test class EmailPublisherLoader_Test.

4.) Look for the code coverage you will notice it says 11% covered(5/44)

Note : The issue here is we're not able to pass argument value for method onInitDefaults() from test class.

Not at this moment

Is it Fixed?
