Quote PDF template Lists not displaying correctly when different fields from the same object are in separate Lists

When you create a Master-detail relationship from a custom object to Quotes object, you can then reference those fields from the custom object in a Quote Template in "Lists". When you create a new Quote Template and add individual Lists that each reference a different field from the same custom object, the values in each separate list are the same (always the same value as the last list).
Create a custom object with a master-detail to Quotes
Create a few text fields on the custom object
Create a Quote Template (Setup|Customize|Quotes|Templates)
On the template, add a List
Choose the custom object you created and then add 1 of the fields you created to the List
Add a List for each of the Text fields you created (an individual List for each one)
Activate the Quote Template for use
Create an Opportunity, a related Quote and then a related custom object record
On the custom object record, put a different value for each Text field
On the Quote object, create a PDF and choose the Quote template you created
Notice that the value for each of the Text Fields is the same, even though they should reflect what the actual values are
Place each of the fields in the same List on the Quote. Separating the Lists is what is currently experiencing an issue.
