Process fails at runtime when referencing Owner ID for Event or Task object actions
Last updated 2018-01-15 ·Reference W-2460177 ·Reported By 23 users
Process fails to perform actions for Event or Task objects when referencing the Owner.Id field of the record. When process action is a Post to Chatter for Event or Task objects, failure of flow execution at runtime occurs when attempting a reference to Owner ID. User receives either of the following errors depending whether record is new or being edited: “Sorry! We encountered an unexpected error. Please try to post again. If error persists, contact customer support.” or “A flow trigger failed to execute the flow with version ID.”
1. Open Process Builder
2. Create a new Post to Chatter Process Action to Event.
-Posting to: User -> Select a user from a record -> [Event].Owner.Id.
3. Create new or edit existing Event record
No workaround found at this moment.
