Force.com site customers getting cached "Down for maintenance" page though the site is working
Last updated 2015-09-03 ·Reference W-2493655 ·Reported By 2 users
Force.com site customers occasionally getting "Down for maintenance" page on the home page, though the site is running, and not down. If the users go to a different page on the same site, content is served without any problem. Alternatively, users can add a dummy request parameter to get around the cached home page.
Example: if the site page is https://mycompany.com, they can request the home page with a dummy parameter, such as "https://mycompany.com/?dummyparam=dummyvalue". This get the page directly from the site, instead of getting from the cache, and the error page is not served to the user.
When the site home page shows "Down for maintenance", try to go to any other resource path on the same site, it should show the correct page, without any issue
Add a dummy parameter to the home page, as explained in the summay section
