When importing a gift message containing many \ in a row, the code for cleaning raw json is not cleaning it correctly, causing an entire packet of orders to failing because it cannot be parsed.

Customers often have situations where end users will use multiple gift cards of the same cost to pay for orders. When this happens only a single gift card will be processed and have transactions booked against it because OM treats it as a duplicate transaction due to the same cost.
