CDATA with Dom.Document/Dom.xmlNode Classes

Not Categorized

In programing environments outside of SalesForce, the standard convention for including unformated text in an XML document that contains reserved characters like '>' and '<' is to wrap that text in a CDATA construct.

We love the new Dom.Document and Dom.xmlNode classes that were recently introduced.  However, because they do not properly parse documents that contain the CDATA construct, we are finding it difficult to integrate with a business partner who provides us with unformated data using CDATA.

Addressing this would go a long way in advancing SaleForce's XML capabilities.
