Einstein Activity Capture - Salesforce Wins

In the event of a sync error between Outlook and EAC, we would prefer to have Salesforce as the winning application. We currently have an issue where we need to make automated updates to event records after save. If a record is updated by a user or automation before the sync occurs, the two systems stop syncing the record. If we could choose to have Salesforce as the winning application, it would help to ensure that the sync is better supported when these automtaed updates occur.

There should be no issue when using merge field if 2 field has same field name

Fri, 7 May 2021 21:37:15 +0000

Currently, there's an issue/conflict when using 2 fields as merge field if the 2 field is using the same "field name". I understand that as stated in the artcle below, fields should have unique name. However, this one should work as expected since the fields has different API names.

https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=sf.merge_fields_email_templates.htm&type=5

Email Quote template needs to default to HTML

When using the standard SF "Email Quote" button on the Quote record, the email window that is opened is a text-only template. In order to successfully track emails using Enhanced Email, you need to have HTML templates. So, the default Quote email window needs to generate an HTML template to achieve this. Only solution from support was to create a custom button with a custom HTML template.

Lightning sync behavior change: Events get deleted if the subject and date match

With the sync direction "Salesforce to Exchange" if the Date and Subject of an Event match in Salesforce and in Outlook, Salesforce wins and deletes/ replaces the Event in Outlook Calendar and a cancellation email will be sent to the participants of the Outlook Event, but they won't receive Invitation for the 'new' Event, that replaced it.
If the subject or date differs in any sense, a new event will be created next to the 'original' one.

This behavior should be changed, the events should be merged, and if the Outlook event has invitees, they should remain on the newly.created Event.
Synchronise the SortOrder between Classic & LEX for Quote Line Item

When creating a quote, it happens that the quote line items in Classic have a different SortOrder than the quote line items in Lightning Experience. If you then try to use the "Start Sync" functionality on the quote you get an error message. (Attempted to sync object -ObjectID- which was previously synced in this transaction). The reason for this issue is the different sort order of the quote line items in Classic and LEX. The workaround suggested by Salesforce Support is to switch back to Classic and manually create the same sort order as in LEX.

Hi,

The idea is to have the possibility to activate by settings, a copy of all history we have traked into the lead object to the account/contact object after conversion.

Example; Standard Lead field like Email Opt Out checkbox and other Custom fields with field history tracking selected.

Close button for Zoom Account Banner Notification

When enabling the Zoom Video Setup for the Inbox / High Velocity Sales / Einstein Activity Capture users, a banner notification is seen at the top of the screen of all users where the relevant permission sets are assigned. This notification will then take them through the process of connecting their Zoom accounts into Salesforce.

The issue with this banner notification, however, is that it doesn't have a "close" or "X" or "ignore" button where users that don't want to link their Zoom Accounts can do. The banner notification is staying there forever.

Salesforce should put a close button to this standard notification banner to remove the unnecessary message in the screen. This should be straightforward.

Outlook Inbox Visual Representation of logged Emails to Salesforce

This would help to increase the work efficiency, if we can see directly in the inbox, if Emails were already logged. Also that other colleagues in the same organisation who were CC or BCC has the visual representation in their inbox for the same email.

Allow email integrations to accommodate email addresses in BCC Field

When using Log Email on Gmail/Outlook Integration, the sidepanel can only suggest records that matched the email addresses from To, From and CC. Having the BCC fields added will be useful so that users don't have to manually search for the contacts on the sidepanel.
