More granular Gift Entry permissions
Nonprofit Success Pack
Gift Entry is fantastic, but the fact that it requires such extensive permissions on batch entry is a real problem.Using the Data Import object would ideally let organizations separate out initial data entry to a subset of users with limited permissions and then, after review, let a different user or users process the batch and create the gifts and associated data, but a user can't even key in a list of gifts without read/write permissions on accounts, contacts, and opportunities. Quite a few organizations want to limit permissions on who can create and edit gifts and they should be able to do so while taking advantage of batch entry.Additionally, creating a custom permission that controls batch processing vs batch entry would go a long way towards making Gift Entry for batches a true replacement for other batch gift entry tools on other fundraising platforms.
