Gantt Map tab: prevent users (or profiles) from switching on Map Layers
Dispatch Management
SituationDue to privacy concers & GDPR regulations, not all users that have access to the dispatcher console map tab are allowed to see the different layers on the map like 'Live Positions' and 'Home Base' (FSL__UserSetting__c.FSL__Map_Object_Markers__c). At this moment, all users that have access to the dispatcher console, can see the Map Tab & can select/deselect all layers according to their wishes.ObjectiveTo make sure that the Dispatcher Console can be used by multiple profiles without providing each profile access to data like 'Live Positions' & 'Home Bases' to be in line with GDPR & privacy regulations on national & regional level. Use Case & Solution1. Create a setting to allow only certain profiles to have access to the Map Tab in general on the dispatcher console2. Create a setting to allow only certain profiles to switch on / switch off the layers on the Map Tab 'FSL__Map_Object_Markers__c. That way, access to data can be controlled & prevented.
