MyTrailhead should be connected to custom playgrounds

When using MyTrailhead, users should be able to test their knowledge not only in quiz format, but should be able to experience using salesforce while they do it! For that reason playgrounds or a sandbox should be connected to mytrailhead

Just received access to MyTrailhead for our company with the painful realization that we cannot connect our users to sandboxes to pass the modules. We do not want to provide production access to our users until they've demonstrated they can pass certain modules and use cases within a playground. Please push for this!

At my organization we already have a Learning Management System, and other channels like SharePoint for delivering user-facing documentation. I can't pitch another channel like myTrailhead until it includes custom sandboxes -- which would be its primary value proposition. This would also allow us to make better use of our sandboxes for change management, without running into user-impacts on our training programs during a change process.

This is one of the major advantages of Trailhead if we compare with other tools.
If we keep it only as quiz-mode, MyTrailhead add very low value and since we need Salesforce license on top of MyTrailhead Add-on, it's useless for the rest of the company.

This was one of the first things I thought of when I first saw the announcement of MyTrailhead. MyTrailhead needs to be able to connect to a sandbox in order to make training relevant to our end users.

Allowing them to get into a sandbox, create data, understand the process, and interact with the system without messing up a production org would be crucial for this product to become a vital part of an organization.

Every org is personalized to meet the business process, thus this product should allow us to get our users hands on access to our customizations.

The idea is great, but I agree with @Jake Brushafer in that in most cases it should come with a pre-configured environment, including customizations and other apps. And some data.

Also, in some cases the user should have a specific profile, role, permissions...

This is a great idea, it would also be helpful if we can reference a source org. So we could build out an org and then make a clone of it so that they can test it out in the org. I think a scratch org could do this too.
