Allow variable tags in a Custom Redirect's destination URL
Marketing & Content Tools
Custom redirects are great for applying actions on link click, but what if the destination URL contains a variable tag? eg. a unique verification string that is derived from a prospect custom field
A Custom Redirect does not replace the variable tag in the destination URL.

Thanks again for taking the time to explain the scenario. I think you're right that the confirmation is not possible from the email template itself. This is an idea that might consider voting for as well: https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=0873A0000003YJgQAM
Completion actions in list emails work, but as you've described this is not possible with an autoresponder email template.
If you are concerned about people who opt out before receiving the first Engagement Studio email, you might consider using a second click on a separate form. You could include the ID in the URL as a hidden field.
Form > auto-responder email > Confirmation form
Thanks again for the idea. I'll be sure to share this with my team.

Advanced Dynamic Content - When I referenced advanced dynamic content originally, I had not realized the URL was truly unique to each user. Advanced dynamic content is great when there are a set number of possible options. It would not work for this scenario.
