When an email address hard bounces in Pardot
- The Pardot Hard Bounced field is set to true in both Salesforce and Pardot
- The Email Bounced Date, Email Bounced Reason, Is Email Bounced fields are populated in Salesforce (Is Email Bounced = true)
When the email address is corrected in Salesforce
- The Email Bounced Date and Email Bounced Reason fields are cleared and Is Email Bounced equals false in Salesfoce
- The Pardot Hard Bounced field remains true in both Salesforce and Pardot.
According to knowledge article 000314148 the Pardot Hard Bounced
field can be cleared (set to true) by manually changing the email address in Pardot, saving, then reverting the changes to the original email.
The Pardot Hard Bounced
field should change to false when the email is fixed in Salesforce natively and not require manual intervention.
