Engage Email Activity History
When a Salesforce Engage email is sent, a Salesforce Activity History item can be recorded on the Lead or Contact to note the email was sent.Unfortunately, this Activity History includes the raw text of the email with Pardot Variable Tags in place (such as %%first_name%%). This has little value to the person reviewing the history of a record since they won't know what data was inserted for the variable tags when the email was sent. Further, users can be easily confused thinking that an email starting with "Dear %%first_name%%" was sent to the record instead of one that noted their first name in the salutation. This idea is to have the Salesforce Activity History show the final email sent to the record with Variable Tags replaced so that the person reviewing that history can see the full context of the message. This will also give users confidence that the correct message was sent to their recipients.
