Remove first column of search layout
Global Search - Desktop
It would be nice to be able to remove the first column (name field) from a search layout.We get the following error : "Name cannot be removed and must be the first field in the search layout."However, it's possible to remove this column on an individual basis. From global search results, selecting the object from the left (where it can be pinned), the custiomize button appears. Customize button allows to remove first column but this has to be done for each users.There is a similair problem on related list but at least there is a workaround by editing metadata with Eclipse.For Search Layout, there is no real workaround unless logging as every user which can take ages...
