Process Builders & Triggers on insert or update by Automated Process user
Process Automation
We are using the sales cadences feature in Salesforce High Velocity Sales (HVS) and would like to ensure that some custom fields on the tasks created by these cadence processes are updated as users work the steps in their HVS work queue. When a user adds a lead or a contact to a Sales Cadence and works them through the steps of the sales cadence task records are created and updated by the "Automated Process" user. Automation we've attempted to build in Process Builder or Workflow when Tasks are Created or Edited are not updating these tasks. Because tasks with Task Subtype equals "Cadence" (those created by HVS) are not updatable we also created an Apex Trigger (before Insert) that is not fired. Salesforce customer support indicated that actions performed by the Automated Process user account do not execute triggers, process builders, or workflow. Our request is to fire triggers, process builders, flows, and workflows on any database inserts or updates performed by the Automated Process user.
