Enable Inline Editing for Events List View (Calendar Table View)

Currently, Lightning Exprience provides a Table View of Calendar Events. In that view it appears, in all form and function, like a regular list view.

It lacks the ability to do inline editing though.

I've posted this query on the Community and was pointed to this similar question posted by Lauren OBrien. So far, we've found no documentation to disprove Andrew Cook's statement.

Please do add this functionality as it would allow for quick updating of events.

Use Case: Events created by Sales Agents needs to their manager's approval. A custom Approval field (checkbox) has been added to the Event record. Such field is editable when record is viewed. The same field should also be editable in the list view of Events (Calendar Table view) so that managers would not need to open the event records individually.

My guess to why this doesn't work in the Calendar Table is that you need to only have 1 record Type. ie to do this in classic you needed to specify that Task equals False, I could not find a way to do this in the Filters. We also need this in Lightning as editing in List View for us is really important.

This would be very helpful for reasons similar to those outlined below. We do not require some information on event creation because meeting summaries and next steps are not available until after an event occurs. To make it as easy as possible for users to see where they have incomplete events and update them appropriately, this feature is needed.

EASILY our #1 WISHLIST for all internal Salesforce Solution Engineers who have to enter their time spent on meetings in minimum 30 minute increments. If we put in the wrong category type for hundreds of thousands of our indiviually activities or if those types we were supposed to log them as changed for *any* reason, we'd have to change them 1 by 1 in the UI...but NOT if we had this feature!! Please PLEASE deliver on this!
