Method/alternate way to access dependent picklist fields in Lightning Component
Developer Tools
It's possible to define dependent picklist in the setup and they are supported out-of-the-box in Visualforce. But in case of lightning component they are not supported. Yes, I am aware of the workarounds/alternate solutions such as decoding the bit set for validFor. But I genuinely feel that there should be some OOB feature (like the one availavle in Visualforce should be there). One solution could be to have some something like this: //Returns the dependent values based on the parameter passed ....getDescribe().getDependentPickListValues(parameter)
