I don't understand why I can add quick-text macros to chat, phone, emails and virtually everything but chatter posts. Highly recommend implementing this feature request!

Does the purchase of Slack make this improvment less likely to happen? Our users need either Quick Text or the ability to insert some kind of template to keep internal colleagues apprised of changes or what to expect next. This requires some human finesse and input, so we're unable to use an action, PB or Flow to handle this. Thanks!

Maybe the Slack acquisition will breathe new life into collaboration as a key Salesforce feature and this will get some love. Then again, maybe Chatter's days are numbered.

At least this idea is only 2 years old. Why would you have the ability to use canned text that doesn't work in your primary internal communication function? Now our teams are having to use 3rd party applications for storing/pasting quick text into Chatter which means they stop using Quick Text inside SalesForce because it's easier to use the same 3rd party application for everything.
