Variable tags for Custom Objects

Salesforce Alignment

It would be great if the data on custom objects in Pardot could be used as variable tags. We have fields on our custom objects that we are having to write apex code for to reference on the account, but its messy, and isn't working in all scenarios. We have valuable information in our custom objects, and we need to reference that info in email templates. Being able to segment by certain info is great, but not having that data to use in templates is hindering us.

We are recruiting participants for a pilot program about using Salesforce object data in Pardot emails. Would you like to try out our functionality and give us your feedback? We’d love to have you!

A pilot program is a way for customers to get access to cutting edge, not yet generally available features and for us at Pardot to get feedback so we can learn and change and make the best possible product. Sound like something you'd like to participate in? Read on to learn see if you might be a good fit for our pilot:
    • You need to sync objects from Salesforce to Pardot as Custom Objects in order to include them in Pardot emails, which means you either need to be Ultimate customers or Professional with the Custom Objects add-on.
    • There is limited filtering on which custom objects records associated with a prospect will appear in an email, and this is one thing we’d love you to experiment with and give us your feedback on.
    • Any email containing data from a custom object will be prevented from sending if there are more than 50,000 recipients in the single send.
    • Any customer accepted to the pilot will need to sign a Pilot agreement before gaining access to the pilot functionality.
