Pardot - Email Templates with Completion Actions (Engagement Studio)

Automation & Engagement Studio

Email templates do not have completion actions, therefore, you have to set all actions as steps in your Engagement Studio programs.  I need the email link clicks to keep pushing people through the completion actions (i.e. - add to Salesforce campaign, update prospect custom field, etc.) even as they progress through future program steps.  Completion actions setup in Engagement Studio stop once a future step in the program passes (such as a future scheduled email send).

I'm not sure if the best course of action is to enhance email templates & allow completion actions there so they can keep running in the background while the Engagement Studio program tracks any additional actions.  Right now, I have to manually check prospects clicking the link of interest past the date another email in the program is scheduled to send.  Maybe email templates just for Engagement Studio or maybe list emails for Engagement Studio (since those already allow completion actions).
