All show all records in lookup search

We still want the ability to show all records in a lookup window, enhanced lookups are nice but this didn't solve our problem. If performance is the issue then only allow this if using lookup filters.

This is a serious limitation that has been voted on time and again. Unfornately the ideas have been merged with "Search More Fields in Enhanced Lookups" and never the show all records problem.

So many good comments recently, thank you! Karol, Richard, Chuck, and everyone else - the details on your use cases are hugely helpful. My team spends time parsing the details of your comments to help us understand the need beyond the high-level idea description.

Our first priority is building a fully-featured version of lookups using Lightning Web Components, then exposing that to customer developers. Some of these comments can be addressed during that exercise - such as making more clear how to run an advanced lookup - others will come later.

One thing that seems to be a persistent issue is the lack of usage of advanced lookups. Karol, in your example of Parkins vs Prakins, this would be caught by spellcheck in the advanced lookup so the user could have submitted either one. Our current design seems not to make clear to users how the lookup is intended to work, which is our shortcoming.

There is now a dedicated dev team for lookups (woohoo!) so keep the feedback coming and we will keep working hard. Thank you!
