One of our customers uses the customer portal in 16 different languages. I was hoping that the new customer community is now able to support this scenario but at least from an email template point of view this is not the case. There is still only one template that can be selected for emails sent by Salesforce (see screenshot).
The only workaround I know is to put all translations into one template but with 16 languages this is not very nice. And for customers this might look like spam as they get all other communication in their local language.
