Automatically Populate New Custom Fields to Custom Report Type Layout

If you add a custom field in an object (standard or custom object), the newly created fields are automatically available in all of your existing reports that use standard report types.  This is not the case for custom report types.

Currently if you add custom fields to an object (standard or custom object) and have custom report types, then you have to go into the custom report type and manually drag and drop the new custom fields over to the page layout so they are available when editing/customizing reports.  If you don't do this then when you try and customize existing reports these fields will not be available.

It would be ideal if this process occurred automatically and was not a manual process.
