Operational Reporting

Often times my users find the list view very convienent to track todays business. Often times I see them add up values on columns to derive a total. Even though list views are not reports it would be very handy to have an option to either sum a column, or average a column.

Easpecially it would be more than needed, when the sum recalculates when selecting certain rows by the checkbox on the left.

Yes please! List views are so powerful and this feature would really improve ease of use for quick answers, especially in situations where customers are waiting for immediate answers.

I was just working on a new list view that would massively benefit from having a sum at the bottom. Searched to see if this was possible and found this feature request. Would be great if we could add this!

Good Day,
Please this is a great need for our business currently.
Komatsu RSA has recently released time card management and it only boosts employee moral if they can at a quick view (List view options) see their time cards totaled for the day (To ensure that their recommended daily hours is met, and they have not missed anything).
This function would even be great for our opportunity owners. Or looking a specific Accounts to total up how much of each product they have allocated to their Accounts by status.
What saddens me is that this request was posted YEARS ago and still nothing has been designed/developed. What is your timeline or target before you will investigate a request? Please, please, please!

List views are good becasuse they are easy to create, you can make changes to data in the list view, and it's easy to jump into a record and back to the list. The simple addition of totals would make them great! Why hasn't every Salesforce admin upvoted this one?

Like many other people here, I believe this would be a great edition to the List Views. It shows you at a glance what total amounts for a column are and saves you having to go in and create a report. What could also be advantageous is being able to create a report direct from your List Views. Maybe where it says Create New View, Edit, Delete, there could also be a button that says Create Report.

Sometimes Salesforce lack of basic functionality can be really embarassing to my superiors!

I switched to Lighting hoping this might be available there, but not their either.
Creating a report will get the totals. but then you can't sort Ascending or Descending.
Please allow us to sort by the Amount field on the report.

PS: You need to take a lesson from the Trump election and start listening to the average user.
