Allow DML for OrgWideEmailAddress, EmailServicesFunctio And EmailServicesAddress

Data Import & Integration

OrgWideEmailAddress, EmailServicesFunctio and EmailServicesAddress all support create(), delete(), query(), retrieve(), update() via the API, but DML isn't currently allowed. PLEASE add this functionality to Apex.

Also, the Status of OrgWideEmailAddress needs to be added.

This would be very useful for the creation of Scratch orgs where OWE are required and for continuous integrations.

Either being able to define 'From' within SingleEmailMessage or support DML in OrgWideEmailAddress. Currently, we can send emails using a reply address not matching the originator. Especially when using g-suite we see reports of customers receiving email from Frank while the avatar displayed within the header of the email shows Peter. Several customers reached out to us saying it's a security issue ..

Allowing this via the API and not via APEX is a pretty big oversight. Makes testing and dealing with these addresses almost impossible.

Great idea and it should be implemented, however after 6 years I highly doubt that my kids are likely to see this in their life time. SpaceX have a better chance of getting someone to Mars than Salesforce implementing any good ideas from these posts.

It would be useful if OrgWideEmailAddress could support DML and be treated as a standard/custom object, because records sharing based only on profile is quite a limitation.

Great... another necessary bit of functionality that they didn't implement and probably never will. As a result, I now have to spend the next several hours looking for the right hoops to jump through to get code coverage on something that verifies the existence of an org-wide email address as a main part of its logic.

In unit tests, it should be allowed to create or update OrgWideEmailAddresses to create test data so that tests are independent from existing org-wide addresses, and to test error handling.

I don't quite understand this either. It supports those actions from the API, but not from inside of SFDC with Apex? I guess I'll have to use Apex to call the API to meet the business requirement. What a hassle.
