Customization & App Building

Currently only Opportunity Contact Roles are exposed in Lightning Experience.

Can we please have Account Contact Roles available in Lightning too?!

We will be beginning the End of Support process for Account Conact Roles in Summer '18 and therefore do not have plans to bring Account Contact Roles into Lightning Experience. This does not impact other Contact Roles features on Opportunities, Contracts or Cases.

We have introduced a new feature, Contacts to Multiple Accounts, that replaces the Account Contact Roles functionality plus more! Contacts to Multiple Accounts has all the capabilities that you have been asking for in Account Contact Roles including custom field support, related list customization and the ability to view the relationship from both the Account and Contact page layouts. Note that Contacts to Multiple Accounts is available in Classic, Lightning and the Salesforce mobile app.

Don't be confused by the name. With Contacts to Multiple Accounts you can continue to simply designate the role that a contact plays in an account if that's all you want to do! Here are some helpful links to get you started with Contacts to Multiple Accounts: Product Video and Help. This topic comparing the different options is a great place to start. You can find links to additional information on my profile page in the Success Community.
