Need an Alert Rule & Confirmation Rule like Validation Rule

Customization & App Building

Many times, we need a functionality when the user submits an Item, They should be prompted an alert box (just like Javascript alert) which they can read & procced after clicking OK. This functionality is required based on some condition to display certain messages which can help determine what to do next. It will be handy if a functionality can be developed same like the validation rules where an alert message will be displayed based on the criteria. Currently, We have to create VF Pages just to fullfill this type of requirements.

Similarly, A functionality like Confirmation Rules can be given which will act same as the Confirm function of Javascript. If the User Submits, The Confirmation Criterias will be checked & based on that the Confirmation Box will be displayed. If the User clicks on Ok, then the process will continue. If the User clicks on Cancel, the process will stop & the item will not get submitted. Currently, We have to create VF Pages just to fullfill this type of requirements.
