When you create a queue, the list view that gets generated for it will error out if you:
- Are not a member of the queue, and
- Are not in the role hierarchy above a member of the queue, and
- Don't have the Manage Users privilege on your profile
If you don't fall into any of those three categories, you get this message when trying to access the list view for that queue:
Why Salesforce would display a drop-down option for a list view that would throw an Insufficient Privileges error when you click it makes no sense. One way to rectify this is to amend the security model to allow list views to be visible only to people who are members of the queue and those above them in the role hierarchy.
To do this right now, you would need to create a public group and mirror membership of the queue with those in the public group, then share the queue with that group . That workaround is awful for administrators. Actually having this feature in Salesforce would be very helpful.
