Nesting Folders / Sub-folders for Reports, Dashboards, Email Templates, etc.

Operational Reporting

It would be great if we could create folder hierarchies for Reports, Dashboards, Documents, Email Templates etc. I have had many, many Salesforce users and admins request this feature. It would especially make the Reports tab a lot easier to navigate, and would help administrators be able to keep analytics better organized and easier to find - which would greatly help user adoption.

@Olivera Milevska. Users will be able to create and see the subfolder tree structure in Lightning only. However, all the subfolders you create in Lightning will be visible in Classic. We will flatten the tree structure when these subfolders are viewed in Classic.

As Debra Price says, "what good is a flat tree"? This entire Idea thread is based on Classic. Take a look at the original screen shot. That is from Classic. There are 7100+ votes and I guarantee >95% are from Classic users. To implement this only in Lightning violates the principals of the Ideas forum. It means Salesforce Ideas does NOT really influence Salesforce enhancements and Salesforce can twist the Idea to meet their agenda.

What good is a flat tree? Those of us still in Classic are here for a business reason and are penalized for being here. Isn't there anyway Classic can see the hierarchical structure? PLEASE.

I cannot believe this is not a feature. The icing on the cake is that you lose visibility as an Admin when users blow out the folders, and at some point you get ""Too many Results to display"....

Come ON Salesforce! Get this fixed!!!!

@markokoosel - Thanks for the update. I assume you will be delivering this functionality in Classic, since that is where this thread began and all the users voting for this for the most part have voted for Classic delivery.
