Our company has been using Salesforce for quiet sometime, and we’ve discovered some quirks that don’t follow common sense, when dealing with a task (Call/Email/Meeting.) The “Due Date” is an objective of completion per definition. It would make sense that Salesforce would allow to record “completed date” as the date the actual task was completed independently from the due date, which was the objective, right? Today: Salesforce uses for the “Due Date” as the “Completed Date” even if a task is late. Request: We propose Salesforce records the actual completed date as the date and time the task is actually completed in, and keeps the “Due Date” as just an objective of completion date. This way we keep track of both the objective “Due Date” and the accomplished “Completed date” separately.
