Color coded records / Record Conditional formatting

Operational Reporting

I suggest the ability to color code records. this should be based on some simple formula. I can easily imagine a Color field, which into which a basic formula is inserted using the formula editor. this returns a color, or perhaps a style (larger font?, italics?) which shapes the record in views, in the console, in the recent items, perhaps even in reports. (If it is implemented using a field, one could choose whether to use it in the report or not by including or excluding that field from the report, same goes for other views) I think this idea should be simple for the salesforce brains to implement, would it make your application more useful? (think red for unhappy cliends, green for soon to close contracts...) Really a no-brainer for us. Would really help the onboarding process of new employees to get a feel for what is important and what demands attention. Especially for those who aren't comfortable yet with advanced filtering.

Especially in the list views...
Conditionnal colouring could be part of the filter definition, like the set of columns displayed.

This would be a really useful tool for quickly referencing opportunities that are quickly or more imminently needing attention.

For example RED symbolising a certain action requirement that is time critical and fast to close down.

Color coding helps to easily identify informaiton easily which in turn helps the Support Agents do their jobs more effectively. I wish there was a way to do this within Salesfoce.

This would be a very helpful feature and increase the productivity of our support personnel. Our previous system had the ability to color (highlight) the case number so that different categories of cases could be very quickly identified. We really miss this functionality.
