Accounts & Contacts’s commitment to the community has been witnessed since the creation of the Foundation at the very birth of the company.  This commitment has been witnessed, invested in, and echoed by our customers, employees, and partners in our global community.

The Foundation is based on a simple yet innovative idea: Donate 1% of’s resources to support organizations that are working toward bringing about positive social change.  The basic premise of the 1/1/1 Model is that dedicates 1% of its revenue, 1% of its product, and 1% of its employees’ time to the community.  To date, through the Foundation, employees have contributed more than 178,000 volunteerism hours, nearly $20 million in grants awarded, and more than 7,800 nonprofits using technologies on a donated or discounted basis.

A key part of the Foundation’s mission is to mentor other companies to help them engage in this new type of integrated corporate philanthropy. Today, we’re extremely proud and humbled to say that hundreds of companies around the world have adopted the model. Here are some examples of how’s 1/1/1 Model has inspired other businesses to make the 1/1/1 model a core facet of their organization:

C-Level Management will issue in-kind consulting grants valued at over $125,000 in 2010, provide consulting and technical services at a reduced rate to all qualified nonprofits and higher education institutions, and will donate 50 percent of all technology license commissions to nonprofits. is offering 1% of its product and 1% of its employees’ time.  It is also offering discounted full accounting licenses of its cloud-based accounting technology and discounted consulting services.

LiveOps is giving 1% of current outstanding shares to be used by its foundation, a matching gift policy of up to $500/employee/year, and 1% of employee time is dedicated to serving an organization of their choice.

NewVoiceMedia is giving three days of volunteer time, and donating five of its call center and products including training and support, as well as discounts for qualified charities.  It has also established its own foundation and plans to provide grants.

Seal Shield is participating in Disney’s “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” volunteering program, is donating its washable, antimicrobial keyboards and mice to the local library system, and is planning to set aside 1% of its corporate equity in the form of warrants so it may fund its own foundation.

We congratulate these organizations and the many others around the world for the contributions they are making.   Feeling inspired now?  For more information on the Foundation, and how your company can get involved or adopt the model, visit
