We need to see in the Library the description field, the user who uploaded the document and the upload date in the list view. That´s important if there are some similar documents to see what is the different or read more about the content. And we need to see how old the document is and who uploaded it once.

Every attachment to an email that comes into SF is associated with a record, so for Enhanced Email users that means it's associated with that EmailMessage record as well as a Contact, a Case, etc. The Files related list shows in one list all of those associations. For example, on every Case>Files related list, there are 2x the records displayed: One for EmailMessage, one for Case. So a Case with 8 docs attached to it shows 16 items in the Files related list. AFAIK this clutter is true for everyone. I would LOVE it if someone set me straight on this, however. :)
