Why don't you use something like
SELECT ContentDocumentId,Id,LinkedEntityId,ShareType FROM ContentDocumentLink WHERE LinkedEntityId IN (Select id from Case where Recordtype.DeveloperName = 'CS_Main') limit 100
That is what I am using, when trying to find files relates to cases for example.

A failure to be able to report on the files that are in your own CRM is a pretty fundamental oversight. It completely undermines the value of using the database as a single source of truth.

+1 There is no point of using files if we can not report on it

We d'like to use it for a control report, to see if scans/contracts are connected to the volunteers. Just need Id's / or documentnames, no need to export the files. This should be simple in my opinion..

Love to hear of a way to report or analyze Files attached to Records.

It's pretty incredible there is no way to get a list of recent files and what they attach to.

Seems like this should be included as a rollup field - but however it's implemented, please expedite delivery.
