    I am becoming tired of seeing all Ideas about this topic being marked as "Delivered" (such as this one https://trailblazer.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=0873A000000CZPIQA4) without any solution to the initial request.
    This feature is customer facing. Making it available should be a top priority ! We just cannot rely on Classic Email Templates. What is the point in creating a brand new Email Template Builder for Winter 21' and not making the Templates available in Email Alerts ?

    Please Salesforce, make Lightning Experience fully functional before developing new features!

    People can't be told - "everything is moving to Lightning" but then require them to use classic functionality for basic things. But I understand this may be a larger architectural undertaking but sure would be nice

    Hi all - thank you so much for the use cases! Quick update: while this idea is certainly on our radar, we’ve been working to deliver a new drag and drop Email Template Builder in Winter ’21! (idea here: https://trailblazer.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=0873A000000CZPIQA4) and will focus next on the ability to use Lightning Email Templates in email alerts (per this idea: https://trailblazer.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=0873A000000EBHRQA4). These ideas lay the foundation for us to connect all the teams needed to bring cross object merge fields to life.
