People can't be told - "everything is moving to Lightning" but then require them to use classic functionality for basic things. But I understand this may be a larger architectural undertaking but sure would be nice |

This feature is customer facing. Making it available should be a top priority ! We just cannot rely on Classic Email Templates. What is the point in creating a brand new Email Template Builder for Winter 21' and not making the Templates available in Email Alerts ?
Please Salesforce, make Lightning Experience fully functional before developing new features!
