Ideas is integral to our service team providing solutions to our customers. When they research an issue, if they find that there is an idea already created, they will provide the idea to the client to vote on. But if they cannot even see them, they cannot do that.
Our product team reviews ideas at least weekly. There is NO reason they have to be in classic, except for this.
Why isn't this mentioned in the Lightning Readiness Report? There is a whole page about Solutions, nothing on this.
For a company that wants everyone to get to LEX, you have a funny way of showing it.

Virendra Singh, we had to create a custom web tab and it is far from ideal. We also use Search Unify to return ideas within Lightning because OOTB search will not. Even with these workarounds, the Salesforce menu across the top disappears when a user clicks into an idea detail. It's a terrible experience for our Product Managers as they try to manage thousands of ideas submitted via our Community.

We ended up working with the free Innovation Hub v4 by Salesforce Labs. We just started implementation, but so far I am impressed. The latest update is really nice and runs on Communities. You can find it here: https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000EtEHSUA3
My guess is that the old Ideas object is not sufficient enough to consider upgrading and something new will come along (probably for a fee).

Please add this functionality to Lightning. Our organization uses Ideas as the method of requesting changes to our Salesforce implmentation. It works very well and would be great to have ready for us in Lightning. It's a feature that makes us pause when contimplating migration to Lightning.

Just in case there is free app which provides access to Ideas in Community Cloud. Most of companies use our free Ideas app https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000E9l50UAB
Currently it's the most popular ideas app and used by thousands of organisations.
There is also Ideas Enterprise App which among other things provides Lightning Experience(LEX) support on your internal Salesforce org.
It is a paid app but it's well worth it( in my humble opinion of course :) )
Here is list of Enterprise Ideas features that we support.
1)Lightning Experience support - Support of Ideas management for admins on Lightning Experience.
2)Subscribe to ideas. Email notifications for community members who choose to "follow" the ideas. .
3)Banned words moderation - you can have a list of swear words to stop users posting them.
4)Reputation points support - you can allocate reputation points for things like creating ideas or comments so your users can gain reputation by participating in Ideas.
5)Category moderators - You can allocate admin for each of ideas categories and they would get notified whenever the new was posted in that category.
6)Ideas and comments flagging - let your community members flag spam or offensive content.
7)Support for custom idea fields - you can add some additional fields to ideas object and you would be able to show them on community.
8)Categories hierarchy. Custom categories object that supports 2-level hierarchy of categories.
9)Customisable layout of ideas list. The filters can be on a left or on a right.
10)"Similar ideas" component.
11)"Official answer" feature.
