A feature (Dynamic Layouts for Desktop and Mobile), inspired by this and other ideas, is up for consideration in the May 2019 round of Prioritization. Help us determine which features you want us to prioritize as we begin planning for Spring ‘20 and beyond. Visit https://sfdc.co/PrioritizeIdeas to access the Prioritization survey by June 2.

We're still waiting and hope this functionality is available soon. This continues to be our top request, or reported as an issue, from our sales managers and field technicians. Lack of dynamic page layouts makes it difficult for mobile users to be effective on their devices. Mostly, they simply give up due to the frustration and wait until they can connect at night from their hotel.

In the nonprofit world, Fundraisers need this. When they are on the go, they need to focus on contacts and donations, and have limited access to global actions, and objects. Page layouts should really highlight just a few things. Coming back to the office, the same people may put on a different hat, and need a different view.

This continues to be a big need for our company. At the moment, one layout that is used across all devices is such a pain. Our sales team reads two columns left to right on their desktops but when they look at items on their mobile app, the colums go top to bottom so the data gets out of order compared to the desktop/tablet. There are also quick actions needed for the mobile app that are not needed from the desktop, and vice versa. Forcing the app to have the same layout as a web version continues to be a headache as we have to find a compromise for how we display our data which means that neither the desktop or phone layout is optimized for that device.
