we just went through an email domain change that required update to all Salesforce user email addresses
manually changing all email addresses for all users took 12 hours
would have been convenient to update "Generate new password and notify user immediately" and user Email address with dataloader

While working on converting to Community, discovered that our "full copy" sandbox does not actually have all of email addresses changed to @example.com; have been looking for a way to reset these email addresses in this sandbox to test Community functionality / make the necessary changes to convert but cannot allow emails to be sent to non test support personnel. Currently have set almost 1000 users to inactive.

This would be ideal after a Sandbox refresh, we can use Data Loader to update an Active Users email address to "@examaple.com" but this will trigger an email alert to the existing email address. If we could also select "generate new password and notify user immediately" the now edited email address takes effect immediately.
