    Hello, I fully support the suggestion adn also think that the formula field should be applicable to all levels of data, not just be a summary field.

    @ Whomsoever is adding any comment: Please upvote this idea if you feel it has merit. Its been 4 years since this idea was launched and we have not been able to reach the threshold required to make Salesforce act on this.

    This is really great idea. 
    It is very often that you don't want or cannot  create new custom field in opportunities/accounts/products.
    Thus, it would enable to create much more powerful reports. I need to access all fields (not only numbers but text fields) and the formulas needs to be applied on each row of the reports and not only summary as of now. 

    Would clearly help me a lot especially when admin does not allow to create to custom fields !!

    So true, this enhancement is really valuable; formula fields are definitely needed on non-summary fields as well. Please vote!

    Yeah, I really do see why we are still missing this three years on and it's under the vote threshold. I know it can be solved using a custom field on the object but why waste a custom object field when it could be done within a report.

    As everyone requested please add formula in reports for line items and not only for summary fields. I refuse to create a new field for each calculation needed at item level.
