How is this development going?
The reason is that in most email clients the subject line gets cut off after a certain number of characters.It seems like this traial version is far better than "Bob Jones mentioned you in a comment".

Yes, please provide this functionality! My users can't take action from the email notification without clicking on the link and going to the record. There are some times that a little more detail in the chatter notification would provide sufficient information for the user to take action without the need to go to the record.

Just requested by one of our team members, this is a pretty important requirement for us as we're now using cases to handle both engineering resolution and internal shipping requests. Something besides case # is required so that people can see easily what record it's related to.

Just adding a comment that we desperately need this as well. Our Customer Community Plus users are finding the email alerts via Chatter to be confusing and not very detailed as the Case # means nothing to them. Being able to edit the Subject line and Body -- much like the Classic Email Templates -- is necessary.

The latest update states "Latest Update from our Product Management Team:
We are targeting some time next year for delivery (safe harbor) but at this point we can't commit to a release date. We will post a new update once we are closer to having that nailed down, and appreciate your patience in the meantime." but there is no date on that comment, or idea if/when this may be available.
Do we have any idea when "Next Year" will be?
