This would be very handy to be able to do. It's hard to compare pie charts if the colors don't mean the same thing on each one. |

I would like this feature also... It seems like an aweful long time in the pipeline for something so simple. Does anyone have an alternate solution to this issue? |

Really need to add a color to a field. What is the added value of nice overview charts if they cannot be consistent? |

I wonder if salesforce is working on this at all.. It is fundemental I have three graphs on the same dashboard with my sales executives and on each graph they are a different color... |

This would be extremely helpful for us as we are looking to show values with a red, yellow, green color schema. For example items in red are records which need attention because their values are within a certain threshold. |

I agree. The current solution is too complex and at the wrong level. In a highly distributed and global company, there's no way that when defining a picklist object that everyone will agree that a certain value should always be a certain color. This must be able to be set at the report level as report writers shouldn't have the ability to modify objects in order to manager their report's colors. While I can understand that a picklist is preferred for managing the possible resultset and in the sample report in the report builder you may not see all of the values for a field until the report is generated, you most certainly will know that one or a few of the values will exist and must always be a certain color. |
